    • A scrum during the match. Nairobi School ('Patch') pack is on the left.
    • 'Patch' rugby team with the Prescott Cup presented to them after the match where they trounced Mang'u High School. The finals were sponsored by local mobile phone company, Safaricom, hence you will notice three Patcherians in the centre wearing green t-shirts donated by Safaricom. Holding the Prescott Cup is the school captain, Joel Maingi of Baringo (Hawke) House, while the guy posing with arms folded is Musili. From left, Ogode (Marsabit, ?,?,?, Nenai (green T-shirt, Tana), ?, Otieno Brian (green t-shirt, Athi). According to one of the current fourth formers (Jason Wamae) the school captain, Joel Maingi, is a passion driven person who was very consistent in rugby practices and matches. As for the boy who lead the team to victory, Mokebo, I am told by Jason that he made the last minute try while his nose was bleeding and he had initially endeavored to ask for first aid but just carried on. The team had lost all other tournaments this year, coming second. Hence, this victory was a consolation which very much deserved.
    • 'Patch' cheering squad demonstrating the rise and fall of the cheering style. For 'Patch', cheering is a sport, and the boys do it with flavour to the delight of many. Patch has the best cheering squad of all the Kenyan High Schools and they are usually the centre of attraction during rugby matches.

These photos were scanned from a teenagers' monthly publication known as The Insyder, which is very popular amongst youngsters back in Kenya.

The report in The Insyder read as follows:
Patch Machine are the 2007 Prescott Cup Champions. The finals took place on Sunday, July 1st at the Rugby Football Union of East Africa Ground (RFUEA). Patch Machine beat Mang’u 26-24 in what was one of the most exciting cup finals in recent times. 'Patch' can also thank their 16th-man, and of course their award-winning cheering squad, which kept the crowd entertained during breaks. Joseph Mokebo of 'Patch' took the MVP Award. This is the second time in five years that Patch Machine has lifted the prestigious Prescott Cup.
