(Alec & Steve were both Head of Scott House - 1951 and 1954 respectively)
Ron & Chloë Bullock (from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) came over to the U.K. for the Old Cambrian Society (UK) annual dinner in
London on 16th April 2004. They took the opportunity to spend the next couple of months travelling around the U.K. and
Europe, seeing friends and "being tourists".
They met up with the Maxwells, and the above photo was taken at a reunion lunch in Littleborough, Yorkshire, on Saturday May 22nd.
Alec Maxwell regretted his choice of date when he realised it was Cup Final Day - so he's not lost his interest in sports!
Ron, Steve and Alec travelled to Kenya with their respective mothers on the Winchester Castle in December 1946. This
was reputedly the first passenger ship to travel to Mombasa since before the war, although it was still fitted out as a
troop ship and we lads (10 and older) travelled with the men in the dormitories, which were still fitted out with five
tiers of bunks - not much headroom even for a 10-year old! Then we were all in Scott House at the Prince of Wales School,
so we go back quite a few years; but we don't think it shows!
