L-R: Tony Church (Nicholson 1952-6), Thomas Masaki (Marsabit(Scott) 1991-4), Martin Langley (Nicholson 1956-61), Steve Le Feuvre (Clive 1970-5), Peter 'Samaki' Salmon (Nicholson 1955-61), James Ilako (Clive 1970-5), George McKnight (Hawke 1946-51), John Carne (Nicholson 1957-62) ........ missing from the photo was Andrew Langley (Nicholson 1958-63).

Three Old Cambrians celebrated their 50th anniversary climb of Mt Kilimanjaro . . . . . in the bar at the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel from 7pm on Monday 5th Sept 2011, and welcomed other Old Cambrians to join them for a drink. In addition to Martin Langley (Nicholson 1956-61) there was John Carne (Nicholson 1957-62) who both summitted in 1961 on an Outward Bound course, and Peter 'Samaki' Salmon (1955-61) who also summitted in 1961 but with a different group. Also, joining them on the climb were Andrew Langley (Nicholson 1958-62) and his wife Ann, and other Langley family members.

Report from Martin Langley to follow - to explain who exactly summitted this time!! ....... but I can let you into a little fact that Martin and 'Samaki' actually did make it to the top AGAIN!!

In Kenya for a holiday, and arranging a couple of OCS reunions, was Webmaster and Secretary of the Old Cambrian Society (UK), Steve Le Feuvre (Clive 1970-5), so he decided to join the climbers as well ...... but for the drinks at the Norfolk Hotel, not the actual climb itself!!
