Reunion - Blanco’s Lounge & Grill - Nairobi, 10th Sept 2011
Photos & text supplied by Steve Le Feuvre
Old Cambrians from far and wide gathered at Blanco’s Lounge & Grill, which is owned and run by Old Cambrian and host
for the evening, Leonard Mudachi (Serengeti(Nicholson) 1990-3). The event coincided with a trip to Kenya by
Webmaster and Secretary of the OCS (UK), Steve Le Feuvre (Clive 1970-5), and also two other "old boys", Martin Langley
(Nicholson 1956-61) and his brother Andrew Langley (Nicholson 1958-62), who had recently completed their climb
of Mt Kilimanjaro. This was arranged to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their first ascent in 1961 of Africa's highest
mountain. The other OC's who were on the 'Kili' climb unfortunately had already returned home.
Over 50 Old Cambrians and partners attended a superb evening, and much reminiscing took place. It was great to see good
spread of Old Cambrians, from the 1950s right up to "old boys" who had left the school in 2010.
If any of those who attended this event have their own stories and recollections, please e-mail the Webmaster.
1975 Graduates - L-R: Steve Le Feuvre (Clive 1970-5), James Ilako (Clive 1970-5), Abed Malik (Clive 1970-5) & Zack Oloo (Grigg 1970-5)
Leonard Mudachi (Serengeti(Nicholson) 1990-3), host for the evening, addresses the group.
Moses Watatua (Tana/Marsabit(Scott 1983-8) Secretary of the Old Cambrian Society (Kenya Chapter) welcomes everyone to the event.
