Webmaster, Steve Le Feuvre, was visiting New Zealand on holiday and decided it was about time that the "Kiwi" arm of the
Old Cambrian Society did something to put them on the map. After a plea in a newsletter, we managed to muster
a few from the North Island, but due to short notice and Steve's tight schedule, it left very little flexibility on dates, so unfortunately
there were a few willing Old Cambrians unable to actually make the day.
Alan Smith arranged the venue, the lovely Soljays Wine Estate north west of Auckland, and we had a very enjoyable lunch,
reminiscing about our childhoods back in Kenya and East Africa, and the Prince of Wales in particular.
Now that we have set the ball rolling, I'm hoping that North Island New Zealand will hold regular "reunions", and that
more notice will enable more Old Cambrians to attend.
