Mini Reunion - Sunshine Coast, Australia - March 2009

Here are some photos from a mini-reunion that Mike Barford (Grigg 1959-64), John Riches (Grigg 1960-3) and
Ian McIver (Grigg 1961-4) were able to share at Ian's home on the Sunshine Coast on Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st
March, along with Mike's wife Alison and Ian's wife Norma. Unfortunately John's wife Elizabeth was unable to join us.
Mike and his wife Alison [ex Limuru Girls School] now live in South Africa and came to Australia for a holiday and
to visit Mike's brother Peter (Grigg 1962-6). Mike was catching up with John and Ian after 45 years; John and Ian
have seen each other from time to time over the years. An enjoyable two days was had by us all, doing all the things
that Old Cambrians can be expected to do when they get together. Unbelievably, we even found that Ian still
has the receipt from a Malindi camping holiday and several Sinbad Hotel film tickets that Mike, Ian and Harry
Potts [also Grigg 1960-5] had enjoyed in April 1964! Ah! those were the days! As the photos show, we also all
wore our OC jerseys and hats made specially for the occasion. Unfortunately, Peter Willers (Grigg 1959-61), who
had hoped to join us, and who also lives on Golden Beach as does Ian, was unable to do so at the last moment.
Maybe next time Pete.
