Mini-Reunion - Sydney, Australia - January 2007

On the last stage of my Ashes tour, I met up with Steve Taylor in Sydney. Steve and I had been friends in Scott House,
despite him been a day boy!!!. We have met a few times over the years, the last when he was in attendance at the Old
Cambrian reunion held at the House of Lords in April 2001, so it was good to see him again. Despite his origins, Steve
regards himself as an Aussie, so I got some friendly stick over England's rather poor performance!!
Steve, together with his wife Jenny and youngest son David (21), took me and my daughter Emily (16) over to Bondi where
we had a pleasant drink and bite to eat overlooking the beach itself with all the surfers still out until the light
faded. Steve has just celebrated his 60th birthday and is hoping to step back from the running of his business in
the coming months.
