Mini-Reunion - Port Noarlunga, South Australia - 18th November 2007
Photo & text supplied by Martin Langley
L-R: Martin Langley (Nicholson 1956-61), Paul Newman (Rhodes 1950-54), Mick Houareau (Clive 1953-6), Astrid Houareau, Josephine Langley.
On a recent visit to Australia, Martin Langley & Josephine were entertained to a delightful curry lunch at the Port
Noarlunga home of Mick and Astrid Houreau, just south of Adelaide. Also present was Paul Newman (Hawke 1950-54).
Martin took the opportunity to talk to Mick and Paul about their experiences working for East African Railways in the
late 50's/early 60's, for Martin's forthcoming website feature on school trains. The article entitled "To school behind
a Garratt. School trains and the locomotive that hauled them." is expected to go on line early in the new year. Any Old Cambrians
with school train stories (other than those already mentioned on the website in Alumnus notes) should contact Martin via
the webmaster.
