More than 100 people attended the "Picnic on the Swan" ....... including 22 Old Cambrians, along with Duko types, some
from Iringa, St Marys, Highlands, Loreto etc. This event was organised as a get-together for ex-East Africans and
is something we can build on, and there will definitely be another
picnic next year! We are also aiming for an Old Cambrian Society dinner or lunch later in the year. Mike Purves did most
of the work and deserves full credit for his efforts. Some left early before we could get clicking, but we got a few
together and there are a few individual shots. Here they are .........
L-R: Alan Grigg-Spall meets an old mate, Jeremy Bromley – they were at the Prince of Wales School together, met again in London
where they went in the late 1960s, but have not seen each other since!!
A rose between two impala horns!! ........ Old Yorkist, Brandon Brooksbank, was happy to share a joke and a beer
with Old Cambrians Derek Milton and Dave McFarnell at the gathering.
...... and here's another of that group shot
...... and another!!
