Zahir Dharsee, Peter Agwa and I met in Mississauga, Ontario on May 30, 2007. I was in Toronto attending a funeral
but made it a point to leave Toronto on an upbeat note. I had not seen either of my form-mates since I left
Nairobi School at the end of 1972.
Of course any reunion is a good excuse to have a good meal together and a tasty butter chicken hit the spot for
Zahir and I (though it paled next to dry marmite sandwiches!) We had a long lunch, catching up on our individual
histories since Nairobi. Later that evening Peter joined us at Zahir's home for tea and, after some more catching
up, conversation leaned towards saving the world from its own vices. Unfortunately, we couldn't solve all the
world's problems as I had to catch a flight back to Vancouver.
