Old Cambrian Society (Canada) Reunion Luncheon
Held on Saturday 25th November 2006 at The HOST Fine Indian Restaurant, Mississauga, Ontario.
In October while meeting over lunch in downtown Toronto, Dave Allen asked Zahir Dharsee to contact the Old Cambrians who
had met for a reunion earlier in May to see if they would be interested in meeting again for a mini reunion before year
end. The initial response was very positive and preparations for the mini reunion were made by Zahir Dharsee and Dave
Allen with assistance from their spouses Nadia and June respectively. The location selected was the HOST Fine Indian
Restaurant in Mississauga. OC webmaster, Steve LeFeuvre, was advised and kindly posted the event on the OCS webpage.
The mini reunion was held on Saturday November 25, 2006. The turnout was excellent and the event attracted over
40 people - Old Cambrian Bwanas, their bibis spouses and watotos children and their wagenis - guests. Some of
the OCs were new to the group having become aware of the event through the webpage posting or contact with other OCs
in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). For a change the weather on the this day was very nice almost like the nice cool
mornings in Prince of Wales School/Nairobi School given it was late November here in Canada!! We were able to take a
group picture outside the restaurant !! - (see below).
