Quad from Intermediate House - 1953
The Prince of Wales School was designed by the renowned architect Sir Herbert Baker
Comments from Ron:
I suppose there must have been a watch tower to climb up on - looks too
high to have been merely the roof of Intermediate. At the bottom of the
picture, not easily seen on this scan, is a security fence, so my vantage
point must have been inside that. But I don't remember a watch tower being
there.
When pressed by Webmaster to come up with a date of this photo, Ron replied "it would have been
taken Sep/Dec 1953 - I was a prefect in Intermediate House at that time".
Responses: John Picridas (Rhodes 1961-1965) wrote 20th Feb 2004:
High probability that this photo was taken from the roof of the wooden structure of Intermediate House, and not a security tower.
