  • Bev Wood (Nicholson 1967-1969) writes:
Thanks for putting the photo of Nicholson House 1969 on the site. It brings back so many memories. I think I can help with a few names. In the back row I am on the far left, (looking at the photo). Believe it or not I am now 6ft tall (growth spasm of about a foot between the ages of 15 and 17). " Could it have been the "Tusker"??
(Note from Webmaster: Bev then goes on to name several others in the photo)

Seated in the second row, the bearded teacher next to Frost is Mr Weeks. I know this because both him and Mr Fox thought that it was us who had nicked and destroyed the "glorious photo" of Mr Nigel Brown (whom we knew as "Toad" ) off the wall in the House (.....he was Head of House back in the 16th century!!). This happened on our last day at School, and they put us through an interrogation analogous to the "Gestapo"!! But they didn't beat us into submission and of course I don't know who did pinch the horrible photo..... Ho Ho!!

  • Heads of Nicholson House 1968-72 - submitted by Aggrey Mulira:
      1968 - Frost
1969 - Edward Kagwe (See photo of School Prefects 1969)
      1970 - Gitimu
      1971 - Patrick Odanga
      1972 - Nzuva
  • It is believed that David Mwathi was tragically killed in a car accident in Zambia shortly after leaving the Prince of Wales School
