Coronation Safari Winners 1956 - Clive House

Two guys collecting a medal and the silver ware are Paul Morris (actually taking the medal)
and Andrew 'Tosh' Tainsh. The lady presenting the medal could be Mrs Burton; the boy with his
arm outstretched is G. Charles; behind him is Nigel Brown; about to take photo is F.Canzini; the
gent with tie is Mr C.R. Burton.
Dave Lloyd (Rhodes 1951-1956) comments (28th Sept 2003:
The Coronation Safari was first run in 1955, by only Rhodes. I was the originator and with a
small committee formulated the rules. As a rally, points were deducted for coming in
early or late. I do have some poor photos I will send over the next few days.
Franco Canzini (Rhodes) shown in the photo of the 1956 event (above) would confirm. As
would the Trophy which was square, if found should be dated.
