This is a portrait photo of the first Headmaster of the Prince of Wales School, Captain B.W.L. Nicholson who was
Headmaster from 1925 to 1937. It is believed the photograph was taken around 1935, and has been taken from the photo album of
Mr. Bernard A. Astley who was Headmaster of the School from 1937 to 1945. The Old Cambrian Society are indebted to
Cynthia McCrae, daughter of Bernard Astley, and her husband Alastair McCrae for furnishing us with this truly historical
piece of material for our web site.
