Prince of Wales School Brass band in 1959
Some names (not in any order):
Dave Hart, Alan Rose, Roger Taylor, ? Taylor and Tex ? Bram Holland all trumpets;
? Foxton as ?, Colin Blacher as Drum Major, Bill Mowbray, Pete Salmon, Ray Gauden-Ing on
trombones; Mike Traves, Peter Hart on horn; and, on the Bass: Brod Purdy, 'Mac' MacGregor and a
young ? Wilson.
The Back row are all bugle band...the one on the extreme right, ? Hawksworth,
spent time as the guest of the Rhodesian guerillas during the SR civil war! Family farmed near
Kitale.
No doubt there will be others who recognise those of the band I cannot, after so many years, remember! But it just might bring back memories!
