On 13th december 2008, Webmaster received an e-mail from Cecil Johnston:
Hi Steve,
I received a letter today from Deryk Wyatt's son to tell me Deryk had passed away following an unfortunate road accident
on 5th December. There is a report on how the accident occured if you wish to look it up

I had sent a Christmas card recently to Deryk who was a good friend of mine at school. He was in Clive House the
same years as me and Terry Walton.
Deryk never signed up on the OC website but I know he followed the news on the site. I know he attended several
OC reunion gatherings some years ago when they were held in London at the Angus Steak House. Some years ago we met
up for a reunion when I was over in Hampshire and we had a great chat about the good old days at school.
His funeral will be held in Saint Francis Church, Headley Down, Hampshire on Monday 22nd December at 11 am.
