Amazing how the Website has sparked some interest more than forty years since I left the school.
I have fond memories of PoW despite having been there for only two years. My parents were concerned about the consequences
of Uhuru and packed the three of us (brother and sister) off to England to finish school there.
After leaving school I tried professional golf for a short time in Cape Town, then I had the good fortune to meet a pal of
mine (Ivor Shaer) also from PoW who convinced me that golf was not the way to go. I changed directions and studied
accounting at the University of Cape Town. I qualified as a CA (SA) in 1974. I have been gainfully employed in the accounting
field ever since.
