I came to PoW after attending Nyeri Primary and then Nairobi Primary School.
My main recollection of school was the considerable emphasis given to the playing of sport and the strong inter house
rivalry that resulted. My only contribution of note in this regard was keeping goal for the house 1st soccer team for 3
years.
After leaving school I did my 6 month stint in the Kenya Regiment before going to university in the U.K. where I obtained
a law degree. I subsequently qualified as an accountant and pursued a career in finance initially with the Dunlop
Company and latterly with the EMI Group.
I am now retired and living in the south of England.
