Memories of School:
We almost killed Gammie with homemade gun
Since leaving School:
1955 - moved to Lincoln, England with my parents. Studied Mechanical Engineering at Lincoln Technical College and did an apprenticeship at Ruston Hornby and Penny & Porter - total 1 ½ years
Sept 1957 - Emigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Worked for Dominion Bridge for ½ a year then went to work for Shell Oil Refinery in maintenance and operations for 5 years. Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Raced and rallied sports cars from 1960 -1967 at St. Eugene, Mosport and Harewood Race Tracks.
Worked at Niagara Finance Co. in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - then was transferred to a branch in Welland, Ontario, were I was the Branch Manager for 5 years.
1963 - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.- Married Elizabeth Hollingworth, from Lincoln, England
1964 - had our first child - son - Andrew
1965 - had our second child - daughter - Lisa
1967-2001 - worked for Sunnen Products/Guspro Inc., as a Field Service Engineer and Sales Representative and worked there for 34 years, until retiring in May 2001 at the age of 65.
1978 - Purchased a Cabot 36 sailboat from Halifax, Nova Scotia and still own and sail it on Lake Ontario,
1988/89 - Backpacked thru Australia, New Zealand & Fiji with my wife for 6 months and also visited family while in N.Z. (mother and brother - Roger Waldegrave, also a student from P.O.W. School).
1990 - Crewed on a tall ship (Soren Larson) in South Pacific for 10 days.
Living in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
