Leon Tomasyan

Nickname: Tommy
House: Hawke
Years: 1952-1956

Memories:
The Headmaster was Peter Fletcher, (Flakey).
Some of my teachers were:
    Peter Chadwick (Shellshock).......History
    Mr. R. McLelland Sim....................Art
    Mr. Liversidge................................Geography
    Peter Horley (had polio)................English
    Mrs. French.....................................French
    Mr. Peter Heathcote......................Science
Two math's teachers: One was Mr. Link, (The missing link) and the other was a guy we called the "Galloping tapeworm".
I played soccer on the Junior Colts team and was also on the gymnastics team.

I was in the Kenya Regiment for a while, "Recce." squad. Just after independence I emigrated to California. Things went well and I am now semi-retired and when not overseeing a couple of my businesses I play golf and tennis.

Before attending POW I was at Parklands Primary School. I have two brothers, Vic and Dicky who also attended Parklands Primary/POW and were in the Kenya Regiment. They live in Napa, California and Houston, Texas respectively.

I would very much like to find an old friend named George Blowers from the Kenya Regiment. In the 1960s his Dad had a farm at Marwa, near Sultan Hamud, on the Mombasa road. George moved to Australia about 35 years ago to operate a cattle station.......does anyone have any info on him?
