Memories:
Enjoyed playing 1st Trumpet in the School Band, earning a distinction from The
Trinity College of Music, London under the direction of Mr. Lockhart.
Joined the Kenya Regiment in 1958, served 4 years, with honorable discharge.
Hooked up with a jazz band in Nairobi, "The Sunshine Seven", played many gigs around
town, won the House of Manji Cup in a competition to decide which band would play along side
"Cliff Richard and the Shadows" on his visit to Nairobi. Mitchell Park crowded 10,000 that day.
Memories of beloved Kenya alone were enough for a lifetime.
Now living in Houston, Texas, USA.
