Since leaving School:
Medical doctor, qualified 1984 from University of Nairobi.
Worked in military rising to rank of Major. Left military 1994 and joined University of Nairobi as lecturer in the
department of paediatrics and child health. Specialised in paediatrics and child health and later subspecialised in new
born medicine (Neonatology). Was a senior lecturer upto June 2007, when I quit and joined politics.
In December 2007 I won the parliamentary election and I am now the MP for Kimilili constituency. This is a rural constituency in the
western part of Kenya with a population of over 350,000 inhabitants and 98,460 registered voters.
Residence: In Nairobi, Mt. View, which is just 2 km away from "Patch" and I pass by the school every day.
