I left PoW after my O-levels and went to work for ELAL in Nairobi for a little over a year. I then saw the light and went
back to school (in Sweden). After my A-levels and military service I spent two years as a village school teacher in
Kirinyaga (Central Province). Then back to University in Sweden for a degree in Economics and Business.
Then surprise surprise, back to Kenya where I set up a private consulting practice - mostly feasibility studies
and general management consulting.
Moved to the USA in 1988 and went to work for Management Sciences for Health, a Boston based PVO working in public
health capacity and systems development in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Came back to Kenya in 1993 with them as a technical advisor. Changed organization in 1994 (also Boston based,
Pathfinder International). Moved to Uganda in 1997 to run a USAID funded RH project. Back in Kenya 2001 and now the Country
Director of Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and I live about 1km away from Prince of Wales/Nairobi
School.
