50 years is a long time but I remember that my 6 years at the 'Patch" were the best years of my life, notwithstanding the
caning I received from 'Flaky", for reasons, to this day, I cannot remember!
I remember:
the early morning athletics training
the "bicycle safari" that the team of Andy Tainsh, myself and two others won using my bike
the school cricket teams of 1955 and 1956 coached by Teddy Bowes, Ken Fyfe and Bill Liversidge (Twiga)
the best house in the school - CLIVE when we won cock house in 1954, a surprise to the whole school
my difficult years as a prefect and a boarder in 1955 and 1956
I could go on and on, but...................
After school, I went into 'The Regiment", as most everybody did in those days, married Pam Smith in 1962, and emigrated to
Canada in 1967, where we still live. We have two children, Andrew, a police officer, with three daughters of his own, and
Wendy, an early childhood educator, also with two daughters of her own.
We have lived in the Toronto, Ontario area ever since coming to Canada, and currently live in the suburb of Mississauga.
Anybody out there remember me?
