Memories: Like everyone else, I made good friends and some enemies. Can never
forget playing "tree tip" or cycling to town to see movies, or climbing the water tower at night
with friends to talk and look at the stars, or witnessing the advent of Rock and Roll.
Since Leaving: I did my stint in the Kenya Regiment and left for South Africa in 1959
to do an apprenticeship on the Mines. I then spent a year in the British Merchant Navy as a
Junior Engineer before joining the British South Africa Police in Rhodesia in March 1965. In
the Police, I served in the CID and Special Branch, and resigned with the rank of Detective
Inspector in July 1978. I am mentioned in a book called "The Rhodesian Front War" by H.
Ellert.
Presently I own a driving school in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. My daughter,
Lucie resides in France with my ex-wife. I would welcome contact with anyone who knew me in
Nairobi or Eldoret.
