It was sad and a great pity that "FAGGING" was abolished at the School as this was part of the institutional culture!
I cherish the School Motto; "To the Uttermost" and I remember with nostalgia the Shopping Lorry and the Town Dress, the after Lunch Siesta and the Tuck-shop!
After I left School, I attended various Nautical Colleges and University in the United Kingdom
culminating in Master Mariner and MBA Degree (Marketing) qualifications. I joined the Merchant
Navy and I thoroughly enjoyed sailing around the world as a Navigating Officer aboard Cargo
Vessels.
1980: I joined Kenya Ports Authority as a Harbor Pilot where I served for several years before
quitting to go into Import/Export Business in Nairobi. I have lived and worked in the UK and USA.
1990-1993: Chairman of the Old Cambrian Society, Kenyan Chapter. During this time, we conceived
the idea of fundraising and liaised with the PTA and organized and conducted a Harambee which
was presided over by former President Arap Moi and raised more than KShs. 10M. The money was
used to construct the new classrooms which replaced the "Wooden Barracks."
2002: I contested the Kitutu Masaba (Nyamira, Kenya) Parliamentary seat but was rigged out at the nominations!
Currently engaged in International Trade and resident in Vienna, Austria.
