Memories of School: The photos on this website have awakened many latent
memories of my time at Nairobi School. My fondest memories are focused on
sports experiences there, especially rugby, cricket, and hockey, both at House and School
levels. I also recall building an 18-hole golf course that
started near the front of school, toured the lower playing fields, crossed
the oval, and went behind the san, to the upper fields between
Rhodes/Nicholson and Hawke/Grigg. The greens were simply closely-mown areas
with a coffee tin filled with concrete and a flag embedded, but it provided
good practice for full shots and chips when we couldn't get to the Vet Labs
course.
A sincere thanks to Steve Le Feuvre for maintaining this website.
Since Leaving School:Left Kenya in 1973 to attend college in the US. Discovered
that the Nairobi School education prepared me very well for college in the
US. Graduated from the University of Michigan with a Masters in Aerospace
Engineering.
Have worked for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics
Laboratory for 25 years on many different R&D projects for the US Navy and
Government.
Married with three children ages 21, 18, and 11; living in Maryland, USA
