Albert Gitonga

Nickname: Ruggerhead
House: Tana (Fletcher)/Naivasha/Elgon (Clive)
Year: 1978-1981

Tana 1978, Naivasha 1979, Elgon 1980-81

Memories of School:
Fantastic time in those four years:
  • 1978 - watching the schools hockey final Chris Otambo (late) terrorizing Kisumu
  • The rugby battles with Changes - 'Patch' beating changes in the John Andrews sevens at Lenana in 1981 with Karanja (Sancho) scoring a memorable winning try, even if we lost to RVA in the final, beating Lenana was good enough.
  • Teachers like Kuzwi - he was my fathers' student, so he took it out on me!!
  • Sooo many memories I would need a full day and many pages to talk about them.

I have done many things since leaving school:
  • I am a trained carpenter, a scuba diving instructor, have worked in a print shop, and now I run my own business in investment and building development.

I reside in Kikuyu, Kenya next to the Sigona golf club. My office is in Tumaini House 5th floor, Moi Avenue, Nairobi.
