Born in India in 1942, and educated at St. Mary’s School and the Prince of Wales School in Nairobi, Kenya. After obtaining his
University of Cambridge Overseas School Certificate in 1959, went on to participate in a Management Training Programme
with the tobacco corporation, Godfrey Phillips Limited, in London.
Subsequently, joined NEWSWEEK, where he managed the magazine’s business and commercial functions for Africa and the Middle
East over a nine year period, operating from bases in Nairobi and Johannesburg.
Moved from Kenya to South Africa in 1971, joining Group Editors in 1974. Group Editors subsequently became the Republic’s
largest Public Relations consultancy. Appointed Managing Director during 1978, and Chairman and Chief Executive in 1979.
Left Group Editors in 1981 to start his own Public and Political Affairs consultancy, Foxton Communicating CC.
Living in South Africa
