Since leaving School:
BSc (Agriculture) - Nairobi University (1975-1978)
MSc (Soil Science) - Nairobi University (1979-1981)
PhD (Agronomy) - Univeristy of Nebraska, Lincoln, USA (1983-1986)
I was actually studying while employed at Muguga near Limuru at the Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI) in
Nairobi. Right now I am back as an Agricultural Research Scientist (Agronomist) at the new KARI headquarters in Nairobi, near Nairobi School and close to Loresho and
Vet. Labs Kabete, but I reside in Muguga at the former East African Agriculture & Forestry Research Organization
headquarters in Muguga which is one of the KARI Centres.
During my professional career I have had quite a busy schedule and I travel alot all over the world. I have worked,
while on secondment from KARI, with International Organizations (CIMMYT based in Mexico) in Ethiopia (1995-1998) and
CIAT (International Centre for Tropical Agriculture based in Colombia, South America) in Uganda (1999-2002).
