Memories:
Trying to play a bugle in the cadets band.
Left school and joined the K.F.A in Nakuru. Did my time in the Kenya Regiment. Married Zandra
Brownhill and had two children in Kenya --- both now deceased.
Moved to Uganda in 1964 - involved in the capture of Wildlife for Parks and Zoological Gardens.
Left there in 1969 for Australia.
Worked on farms in northern N.S.W - had another child. Joined large mining company - which led
to work in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Cambodia, Viet Nam. By 1994 I’d
had enough of mining and travel so we purchased an Antique and Secondhand shop in Queensland,
from which we will shortly be retiring, and our son can take over, and we can put our feet up at
last.
