Junior House 1951, Clive House 1952 to 1957 (Clive House Prefect). Won the Senior Cross
Country in 1957.
Civil and Mechanical Engineer: interested in dams, tunnels and related social and environmental
matters. Member of the All Reservoirs Panel in the U.K. A Government of Lesotho Delegate to the
Lesotho Highlands Water Commission (LHWC) from 1997 to date (2003).
My two brothers followed me through Clive House:
Robert Stephen Davis: Mechanical Engineer for some years, and then Estate Management Consultant:
now living in Gloucestershire. Robert and his wife, Esther, visited Uganda and Kenya in the
Summer of 2002, and visited "all the old haunts" and especially the School. He subsequently
told me at Christmas 2002 that it seemed "neglected.. run down.. must have suffered from a lack
of maintenance".
Clive Martin Davis: was a Mining Engineer and Underground Manager in the gold mines: died in
a car accident in October 1987 and buried in Randfontein Cemetery, South Africa: left a family
there: there are grandchildren now.
