I was the first cadet to be made an office in the CCF. The previous head rank was CSM. I had achieved that ahead of time so it was possible to then create an officer.
I have very fond memories of PoW (The Cabbage Patch) and hope to touch sides with many mates in due course. I have already
contacted Alistair Gledhill who was with me in Clive. I have maintained contact with Geoff Lamb, also Clive who is in
Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
I have also maintained sporadic contact with Tony Ullyatt (Scott House 1957-1961). He is in Bloemfontein at the Free State
University as Professor Of English specialising in American poetry.
Roger Garside (Clive House 1957-1961) is a lecturer at a UK university in computers. I will get you the details but you
might find on the web leading to the university. Somewhere in West, Birmingham/Manchester.
I live in Durban, South Africa
