I went to Monkton Combe after leaving POW, and then on to Leicester University to read
Geography which I then taught for 10 years. In 1979 I came into the world of school
examinations as an assistant secretary at one of the then many CSE examinations boards.
That is the field that I have been in ever since even though the number of boards has reduced
to three.
I currently work for OCR, but in about 3 months (April 2003) hope to be able to
retire. After that I have no fixed plans although I will have to continue working to maintain
a daughter at University, if for no other reason.
