Memories of the School:
Rhodes made a clean sweep of trophies in 1955. I'm particularly interested in the Rhodes house honours boards. I took
my wife there in 1971 to brag and see my name but unfortunately all the pre-uhuru boards had been removed.
Opening and closing the barbed-wire road block duties, morning and night during the Mau Mau.
The old "temporary" wooden classrooms on stilts - they were still there in 1971.
For years we raised cash for the swimming pool and it was completed just before I left. I recall a pupil fell from
the diving board and damaged his spleen, don't remember the name.
Colours: Athletics and cricket.
Since leaving School:
Went to South Africa 1956, remained there ever since. Now residing Durban SA.
