This luncheon will additionally celebrate the life of Old Cambrian Dave/Daudi Allen, who passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Dave was instrumental in initiating, coordinating, and facilitating this luncheon over the years. Rest in Peace Daudi.

Old Cambrian Steve Le Feuvre, Secretary, OCS UK Branch is our guest of honour. And thanks so much Steve for making the trip (as usual) from Jersey, UK, to support us. "To the Uttermost!"

$40.00 per person (applicable taxes included) for a private meeting room, the amazing buffet meal: 3 courses both vegetarian and meaty choices along with complimentary coffee and tea. Other beverages will be individually charged for.


Old Cambrian Dorian Baxter has kindly offered to host a post luncheon gathering for bonding and a "Tusker Forum" at his residence following the luncheon. Asante Ndugu Dorian:

1) An East African Airlines Douglas DC-3 Water Colour Framed Painting 32” x 26.5, “ painted by R.C. Pickering, London, Ontario, Canada, Circa July 1995. Donated by June Allen, Alumna Kenya High School, Burlington, Ontario. Starting bid CAD 400.

2) Johnie Walker, Gold Label Reserve, Blended Scotch Whisky, The Master Blender’s Reserve, Limited Edition Bottle, Est., 1820, Product of Scotland. 40% acl./vol. 750ml. Donated by Everett Igobwa, OCS Canada. Retails for CAD 100. Starting bid CAD 80

3) Philips Sonicare Flexcare Platinum (bluetooth ready) Electric Tooth Brush. Donated by Everett Igobwa, OCS Canada. Retails for CAD 200. Starting bid $170

4) A few CDs and DVDs of “My Land is Kenya" by world renowned singer and Old Cambrian Roger Whittaker (Scott 1949-1954). Donated by Mike Andrews (Duke of York School 1952-1955). Starting bid $15 for the CDs and $20 for the DVDs

5) A few CDs “The Best of Daudi Kabaka” by Daudi Kabaka. Donated by David Kabeberi, Chair, Laibon Society, Kenya. Starting bid $15.


Thank you so much June Allen for the painting and accept our condolences following the untimely demise of our beloved Old Cambrian “Ndugu” Dave/Daudi Allen.


To this end, the proceeds from the raffle will be used to purchase at least 2 used euphoniums (from Canada) needed urgently/desperately by our Patch Nairobi-School Band & Orchestra in memory of Old Cambrian Dave Allen. This will support the amazing work that Old Cambrian Moses Watatua is doing with our band which is transforming into an orchestra. “To the Uttermost” Moses!

We are looking forward to see many Old Cambrians & East Africans from Canada, America and the world at large. Karibuni!


Additionally, Old Cambrian memorabilia including ties, badges, lapel pins, Impala digitized CDs etc., will be available for sale.
