e-Newsletter - 15th
January 2012
Dear Old Cambrian,
A very Happy New Year to you and all those
precious to you, and hope that 2012 brings with it
everything that we wish for.
This is not going to be a lengthy e-Newsletter
as I am working on that edition at the moment so that you are updated with
everything that has gone on in the OCS world recently. I am also working hard
to update the web site and registrations, and I do apologise
if I have not been as responsive as I have been in the past. 2011 was an
extremely busy year for me personally and business-wise, but I’m hoping
that 2012 is not going to be as manic and I am consciously setting aside time
each week for the web site.
This brief communication is therefore just
to advertise the London
dinner:
Reunion - Old
Cambrian Society (UK) – Annual Dinner & Reunion on Friday,
20th April 2012 at the RAF Club,
Piccadilly, London
2012 is the 110th Anniversary of
the founding of our school. Historians amongst you will know that in 1902 the European Nairobi School was
established, and then in 1931 the school moved to the Kabete
site and became known as The Prince of Wales School. At the start of 1966 the
school officially adopted the name of Nairobi School, thus
completing the full circle.
As usual I welcome and encourage Old
Cambrians from all over the world to attend and I already have bookings from Australia and South Africa, so let’s see if
we can make this year a record for the number of countries where OCs will travel from.
We are restricted to around 120 places, so
please book your places early to avoid disappointment.
More information and the booking form can
be found at - http://www.oldcambrians.com/events2012dinner.html
- and this also contains an up to date list of those already registered for the
dinner, updated daily.
That's all for now!
